Protecting PEG for the Next 15 Years

One of the biggest challenges facing local communities is how to protect their PEG channels and funding during franchise renewals.  Often equally challenging is building or maintaining local relationships with the City, local businesses, and other nonprofit organizations when their budgets are threatened and PEG funding support becomes at best a secondary priority.  How can you make the Community Media Center and PEG channels a community institution, viewed as important as the local public library?

This session will address the necessity of CMC/PEG evolving 21st Century methods to serve their community, including program delivery platforms, media tools and services provided, and the delivery of diverse local content.
