Engaging volunteers in a way to result in maximum impact can be challenging. Learn some core techniques and practices to build your volunteer program and increase volunteer engagement. Explore how an effective volunteer program can increase the impact of your media center in the community. Learn about the importance of having clearly defined volunteer policies and perks that are clearly posted at your center. Establish employee training elements that make sure all employees understand the value of volunteers and how to treat them. Explore if there is a difference between membership programs and volunteer programs and how you balance the two.
