Executive Director
Tony Campos, Executive Director
Tony is the Executive Director of Central Vermont Community Television (dba CVTV), an IRS non-profit community media and technology center located in Barre, Vermont. Part of CVTV's mission is to provide local citizens with access to training and state-of-the-art digital video tools as a means of personal, political and artistic self-expression. CVTV carries programs on its PEG access cable television channel(s) and other publicly accessible telecommunication networks, including closed circuit, common carrier, multichannel microwave, satellite, broadcast television and radio. Tony has developed a high-definition (HD) digital studio connected with Charter Communication Cable.
During his career, Tony has worked with organizations like Turner Sports to stream Vermont Frost Heaves games and the ABA National Championship over the Internet. From the Turner Sports venture, Tony recognized the market was moving towards the Internet-- and that the public was upgrading to smart phones for mobile access.
Tony has produced over 200 broadcast- quality cooking segments and one-hour shows and 180 90-second segments that have been shown on the Boston-based New England Cable News Network (NECN). He and his team created a one-hour show, New England Cooks, which he hosts. New England Cooks continues to be taped in front of live studio audiences.
